Schinazi\, Ph.D.\, a renowned leader in drug discovery. Dr. Schinazi will explore the global burden of hepatitis B and the limitations of current antiviral therapies\, while examining emerging strategies toward a cure. His lecture will highlight the potential of combination therapies and immunomodulators to improve cure rates and shape the future of hepatitis B treatment in 2026 and beyond. \n \nDr. Raymond F. Schinazi is the Frances Winship Walters Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University and founder and director of the Laboratory of Biochemical Pharmacology. An internationally recognized leader in antiviral drug development\, he has published more than 600 peer-reviewed papers and helped develop six FDA-approved antiviral and immunological therapies. His laboratory is known for major treatments for HIV and hepatitis C\, including Lamivudine\, Emtricitabine\, and Sofosbuvir.
