SUMMARY:Beyond the Graduate Series: Don’t Wait: What New Master’s Students Need to Know About Finding a Job
DESCRIPTION:Beyond the Graduate Series \nDon’t Wait: What New Master’s Students Need to Know About Finding a Job\nSeptember 14-18\, 2026 · 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM \n\n \n\n\n📍 Format \nVirtual (Zoom Webinar) \n\n\n🎯 Audience \nMaster’s students \n\n\n💰 Cost \nFree \n\n\n \nRegister Now\n \n\nAbout This Webinar\nMost master’s students start their job search the same way: by submitting resumes to online job postings. It’s an understandable first step — but not the most effective one. \nIn 2025\, LinkedIn processed an average of 11\,000 applications per minute. With so many job seekers competing for the same positions\, submitting resumes to online job postings is not enough\, and this approach often leads to frustration and disappointment for master’s students with limited work experience. \nA more effective job search strategy exists — and it starts long before you submit a single resume. \nJoin Beyond Graduate School for this special webinar series where you’ll learn strategies for an effective job search\, what you need to do before you begin applying for jobs\, and what steps to take when you are ready to apply. By the end of this series\, you’ll have a clear plan for what you can do right now to prepare for your job search after graduation. \nThis special webinar series is designed for master’s students from all academic backgrounds: \n\nSeptember 14: 3 mistakes master’s students must avoid in their job search\nSeptember 15: The role of recruiters in the hiring process\nSeptember 16: How to build a network when you don’t have one\nSeptember 17: Strategic resume writing for master’s students\nSeptember 18: Career advice for international students job searching in the US\n\nWho Should Attend? \n\n\nJoin Beyond Graduate School for this webinar designed for master’s students from all academic disciplines. The webinar will be held via Zoom and will be recorded. Advanced registration is required. \n\n \n\nReady to learn more? \nRegister for the Webinar \n\n \n\nQuestions?\n\nAna Fiallos \nPhone: 305-243-5660 \nEmail: afiallos@miami.edu
