To register for a workshop\, contact Dr. Daniel Bilbao at cmsr@med.miami.edu. \n\n \n\nAbout the Seminar\nThe high-resolution FUJIFILM VisualSonics Vevo 3100 Ultrasound Imaging System can transform and expand preclinical cancer research. Specifically designed for non-invasive small animal imaging\, the Vevo 3100 is optimized for use in mouse and rat models and provides a range of high-resolution imaging capabilities to support cancer research and therapeutic studies. \nThis seminar will highlight the use of ultrasound-guided injection of cancer cell suspensions into target organs to establish orthotopic tumor models with high accuracy and reproducibility. The Vevo enables 2D detection and 3D sizing of solid tumors to monitor tumor development\, growth\, and treatment response longitudinally. Power Doppler and microbubble contrast imaging can evaluate tumor blood flow and vascularity\, providing insights into tumor angiogenesis and vascular remodeling. \nBeyond oncology\, Vevo imaging can support a broad range of preclinical applications\, including cardiovascular research\, liver disease models\, brain imaging\, developmental biology\, and nephrology. The Vevo system also can be used for cardiotoxicity assessment of therapeutic compounds\, including evaluation of cardiac function following treatment with chemotherapeutic agents such as anthracyclines (e.g.\, doxorubicin). \nThe Sylvester Cancer Modeling Shared Resource (CMSR) has a Vevo 3100 to support your research. Following the seminar\, the CMSR will host two workshops that will provide hands-on training with the Vevo 3100 system. This seminar and hands-on training will demonstrate how the Vevo 3100 can enhance experimental precision\, improve data reproducibility\, and accelerate translational discoveries. \n\n \n\nHow to Register\n\n\n🎤 Seminar Registration \nSelect in-person or virtual attendance when registering. \nRegister for Seminar \n\n\n🔬 Workshop Registration \nSpace is limited. Chronic inflammatory insult through either poor diet\, viral infection or autoimmune disease disrupts the normally tolerogenic environment in the liver. By better defining the mechanisms by which chronic inflammation disrupts the liver microenvironment\, we can learn how to restore liver homeostasis in people with advanced disease. \n\n \n\nHow to Join\n\n\n📍 In-Person \nRosenstiel Medical Science BuildingRoom RMSB 31091600 NW 10th AvenueMiami\, FL 33136 \n \n\n💻 Virtual \nJoin via Zoom \n miami.zoom.us/j/94852979503\n \n \n\n \n\nVenue\n\nRosenstiel Medical Science Building \nRoom: RMSB 3109 \n1600 NW 10th AvenueMiami\, FL 33136 \nGet Directions \n \n\n \n\nHosted By \nDepartment of Microbiology and Immunology · University of Miami Miller School of Medicine

One of the biggest difficulties career changers face is that they do not have an existing network in their new field. A strong network in your new field can help you learn about job opportunities\, get advice from people already working in that field\, and increase your chances of being considered for a position in a new industry. \nJoin Beyond Graduate School for this webinar designed specifically for career changers who are completing a master’s degree to enter a new profession. \nWho Should Attend? \n\n\nJoin Beyond Graduate School for this webinar designed for master’s students from all academic disciplines who are wondering: \n\n\n\nIs networking really that important for me\, even with my master’s and previous professional experience?\nHow do I start building a network in a career field where I have no existing connections?\nWhat do I say to people when I am new to a field and do not have relevant experience yet?\n\n\n\n\n \n\nThe webinar will be held via Zoom and will be recorded. Advanced registration is required. \n\n \n\nReady to learn more? \nRegister for the Webinar \n\n \n\nQuestions?\n\nAna Fiallos \nPhone: 305-243-5660 \nEmail: afiallos@miami.edu
