He earned the recognition of Resident of the year on two occasions. He obtained his medical doctor degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana\, Bogota\, Colombia with the highest academic distinction. \nHe is passionate about medical education\, preventative medicine\, the perioperative evaluation of older adults and healthy aging. He is additionally a certified LifeStyle Medicine Physician by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM) to help his patients treat and prevent diseases through exercise\, nutrition\, sleep\, stress management\, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connections. \nAbout Dr. Chueng\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTeresa Chueng\, MD\, MPH\, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Chueng is triple board-certified in infectious diseases\, addiction medicine\, and internal medicine. Her clinical and research work focuses on developing low-barrier models of HIV\, infectious disease\, and substance use disorder care for people who use drugs\, with a particular focus on women who inject drugs. Dr. Chueng is a faculty physician at the IDEA Exchange syringe services program. She co-directs the IDEA women’s clinic\, integrating HIV prevention and treatment\, addiction medicine\, and sexual and reproductive health\, within a harm reduction setting. She is also core faculty for the Jackson Memorial Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program\, where she co-directs the Addiction Medicine Rotation. SUMMARY:From Mutation to Innovation: Tackling BTK Inhibitor Resistance | Justin Taylor\, MD
DESCRIPTION:Justin Taylor\, MD\nPap Corps Champions for Cancer Research Endowed Professor in Leukemia\nDivision of Hematology\, Department of Medicine/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center \nJustin Taylor\, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital\, a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center\, and postdoctoral training with Omar Abdel-Wahab\, M.D. \nDr. Taylor’s research focuses on recurrent genetic mutations in hematologic malignancies and the development of targeted therapies. His laboratory employs molecular biology\, single-cell genomics\, and animal models to uncover mechanisms of disease and identify novel therapeutic strategies. His work aims to translate laboratory discoveries into clinical applications to improve outcomes for patients with blood cancers. \nHe has received multiple research grants and has been recognized with Young Investigator Awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)\, the Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation\, and the Evans MDS Foundation.
