Exchange of information between faculty and attendees will take place during questions and answers sessions after each presentation as well as round table and panel discussions. \n\n \n\nTarget Audience \nGeneral neurologists\, pediatric neurologists\, neuro-ophthalmologists\, neurosurgeons\, neuro-oncologists\, psychiatrists\, internists\, hospitalists\, intensivists\, fellows\, residents\, nurse practitioners\, nurses\, pharmacists and allied healthcare professionals that participate in the care of neurological patients. \n\n \n\nAgenda at a Glance\n \n\nThursday\, March 5\, 2026\n\n\n 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM\n Epilepsy Division\n \n\n 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM\n Neuro-Oncology Division\n \n\n 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM\n Headache Division\n \n\n 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM\n Neuromuscular Division\n \n \n\n \n\nFriday\, March 6\, 2026\n\n\n 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM\n Movement Disorders Division\n \n\n 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM\n Multiple Sclerosis Division\n \n\n 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM\n Cognitive Disorders Division\n \n\n 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM\n Neuropsychological Division\n \n\n 5:00 PM – 6:05 PM\n General Neurology Division\n \n \n\n \n\nSaturday\, March 7\, 2026\n\n\n 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM\n Stroke Division\n \n\n 1:30 PM – 4:15 PM\n Neurorehabilitation & Stroke Division (Nursing Symposium)\n \n \n\n\n \n\nEducational Objectives\nAt the completion of the course\, attendees will be able to: \n \n\nEpilepsy \n• By evaluating a detailed semiology\, physicians will be able to more clearly distinguish the underlying etiology of paroxysmal psychiatric or behavioral symptoms. \n• Assess and anticipate potential risks of misdiagnosis and delay in proper treatment implementation. \n \n \n\nHeadache \n• Expand understanding of diagnosis\, novel therapeutics and evolving pathophysiology. \n• Integrate novel therapies into individualized care plans to reduce disability. \n \n \n\nNeuro-Oncology \n• Assess the nuances in the diagnostics and management of meningiomas. \n• Improve the understanding of neurologic complications of cancer treatment and drug delivery. \n \n \n\nNeuromuscular \n• Differentiate cancer immunotherapy–related myopathies from other inflammatory and toxic myopathies. \n• Recognize clinical red flags for life-threatening overlap presentations (myositis\, myocarditis\, myasthenia gravis). \n \n \n\nMovement Disorders \n• Improve diagnostic accuracy when distinguishing PD from atypical parkinsonism using practical algorithms and bedside red flags; reduce inappropriate testing; initiate earlier\, condition-specific counseling and care plans. \n• Strengthen bedside recognition of movement phenomenology through case videos; apply structured diagnostic frameworks; initiate first-line management or referral when indicated. \n \n \n\nMultiple Sclerosis \n• Identify and appropriately utilize high-efficacy therapies early in the disease course\, optimizing long-term outcomes and reducing relapse-related morbidity in patients with MS. \n• Improved awareness and early recognition of immune-related neurological adverse events will facilitate timely interventions\, thereby reducing morbidity in affected patients. \n \n \n\nStroke \n• Apply current diagnostic strategies to distinguish benign conditions such as migraine aura or visual snow from urgent ischemic causes of transient visual loss. \n• Define the 2023 revisions to the AAN brain death criteria. \n \n \n\nCognitive Disorders \n• By following the National Institute on Aging-Alzheimer Association criteria for Alzheimer’s disease\, Mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease\, and presymptomatic Alzheimer’s disease\, clinicians will be able to accurately diagnose this disorder. \n• By following the McKeith criteria for Dementia with Lewy Bodies and Mild Cognitive Impairment due to DLB\, clinicians will be better able to recognize and diagnose this disorder. \n \n \n\nGeneral Neurology \n• Understand the use and value of the different imaging modalities used in diagnosing Cervical Spondylotic Myopathy. \n• Properly identify those patients who are at risk for a spinal cord injury. \n \n \n\nNeuropsychology Division \n• Describe factors believed to be contributory to cognitive difficulties and guidelines to address them. \n• Understand a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques that can promote a better quality of life and treatment outcomes for patients with neurological conditions. \n \n\n \n\nFeatured Speakers\nThis conference features over 45 expert faculty members from the University of Miami and leading institutions nationwide. \n\n\nManuel Melo-Bicchi\, M.D. \n \n\nNaiara Garcia Losarcos\, M.D. \n \n\nMarcella Coutts\, M.D. \n \n\nMaria Raquel Lopez\, M.D. \n \n\nGaston Baslett\, M.D. \n \n\nMarina Kushnirsky\, M.D. \n \n\nColin Hill\, M.D. \n \n\nJuan Blaquier\, M.D. \n \n\nRuham Nasany\, M.D. \n \n\nTeshamae Monteith\, M.D. \n \n\nAlexandra Cocores\, M.D. \n \n\nLiza Smirnoff\, M.D. \n \n\nDanielle Horn\, M.D. \n \n\nTayina Hyppolite\, M.D. \n \n\nJuan Cabrera Pulla\, M.D. \n \n\nMark Roberts\, M.D. \n \n\nNathan Carberry\, M.D. \n \n\nMartin Hyland\, M.D. \n \n\nJason Margolesky\, M.D. \n \n\nDanielle Shpiner\, M.D. \n \n\nIhtsham Ul Haq\, M.D. \n \n\nYashira Torres\, M.D. \n \n\nPriyanka Atit\, M.D. \n \n\nAdriana Ochoa\, M.D. \n \n\nMarina Sarno\, Psy.D. \n \n\nKatalina Fernández McInerney\, Ph.D. \n \n\nGustavo Rey\, Ph.D. \n \n\nSonya Kaur\, Ph.D. \n \n\nAnnelly Bure-Reyes\, Ph.D. \n \n\nHong Jiang\, M.D.\, Ph.D. \n \n\nA.
