He will discuss how denialism has evolved from a fringe perspective into a mainstream phenomenon\, what research reveals about its growing influence\, and the consequences for science\, public health\, and health policy. The presentation will also explore the challenges of restoring evidence-based public health policy in an era of widespread misinformation. \n\n \n\nSpeaker\n \n\nSeth Kalichman\, Ph.D.\nProfessor\, Psychological Sciences \nUniversity of Connecticut \nEditor-in-Chief\, AIDS and Behavior \nDr. Kalichman is a clinical-community psychologist and the author of Denying AIDS: Conspiracy Theories and Pseudoscience in a Post-COVID World\, published by Springer Nature.
