Ilene Cecil Weitz, Professor of Medicine, Jane Anne Nohl Division of Hematology, Keck-USU School of Medicine

Dr. Weitz is a Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology at Keck-USC School of Medicine.  She attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania, did her Internal Medicine training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and  her Hematology fellowship at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation.  Her research and clinical interests include hemostasis thrombosis, complement disorder (PNH, aHUS,  cold agglutinin disease,) Aplastic  Anemia, iron metabolism, hemoglobinopathies (Sickle Cell and Thalessemia) and immune mediated blood disorders.   She has published multiple original articles, reviews and chapters.  She received the faculty teaching award from USC as well as Cedars Sinai Medical Center.  She was honored with the Morris Press Humanism award from Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
