Dr. Carolyn M. D’Ambrosio is a Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM) Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School. She has previously served as, Vice Chief for Fellowship Training in the Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Associate Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, Program Director for the Harvard-Brigham and Women’s Hospital Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. D’Ambrosio is an expert in sleep medicine and has chaired the Sleep Medicine Board Review Course for the American College of Chest Physicians, and served on the editorial board of the self-assessment book SEEK for sleep medicine. Dr. D’Ambrosio has also been the Associate Editor for CHEST Pulmonary Journal for sleep medicine content.

In 2023 she was also named the Outstanding Program Director and Medical Educator of the year by the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors. Dr. D’Ambrosio has consistently been named one of Boston’s Best Doctors for the past several years. Nationally, she has received numerous Distinguished CHEST Educator awards from the American College of Chest Physicians and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the CHEST Philanthropy.
In addition to teaching and clinical work, Dr. D’Ambrosio has conducted research on Sleep and Menopause, Sleep and Breathing in Infants, and participated as the sleep medicine expert in several systemic reviews in the field of sleep disordered breathing. She recently co-authored a book “Comfort the Kid!” on infant sleep and parent bonding.
