Project INSPIRE: Innovating Next-generation Solutions for Precision care, Innovation, Research, and Education
The University of Miami is proud to announce the launch of an extraordinary three-day retreat that will propel the institution to the forefront of informatics, data science, and innovation. The program, titled Project INSPIRE: Innovating Next-generation Solutions for Precision care, Innovation, Research, and Education will kick off with the INSPIRE Retreat on February 10th, 2024, and will continue for the entire year, and is set to bring together top thought leaders, experts, and pioneers in the fields of informatics, data science, and innovation.
Project INSPIRE is a transformative program that aims to cultivate a culture of innovation, empower leaders, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging the UM community to embrace technology, data, and informatics. The program will lead impactful initiatives in education, research, translation, clinical care, venture creation, and service, outreach, policy, and ethics. By harmonizing resources and promoting knowledge-sharing, Project INSPIRE seeks to position UM as a global leader in informatics, data, technology, and innovation, amplifying its contributions on a global scale. The INSPIRE Retreat is a cornerstone event, where visionaries and experts unite to shape the future of informatics and innovation, fostering collaboration and transformative possibilities.
Winter Retreat Session: Building Community and Workgroups (February 10th)
The retreat kicks off on February 10th with a focus on building a dynamic community of innovators across the university. The morning session includes a renowned keynote speaker who will delve into the future of informatics and data science, providing insights that will shape the retreat’s activities. One of the highlights of Day 1 is the “Cross-Vertical Workgroup Sessions (Workshop)” where attendees will have the opportunity to participate in specialized workgroups dedicated to Education, Research, Clinical Care, Venture, and Service and Outreach. These workgroups aim to establish visionary plans and strategic initiatives within their respective domains. The day concludes with informative breakout sessions and a panel discussion on interdisciplinary collaboration in informatics and data science, setting the tone for the days ahead.
