Meghan McCormick, MD
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

Dr. McCormick received her Bachelor of Science degree from The College of New Jersey, graduating magna cum laude in 2011. She received her medical degree from Rutgers University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2014 having earned accolades including Alpha Omega Alpha and the Women in Medicine Achievement Award. Dr. McCormick then completed her Pediatric Residency training at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh from 2014 to 2017. She pursued subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, completing her fellowship in 2020. She obtained a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh during her fellowship, with a focus on clinical trials.

Her clinical and research activities have centered on improving supportive care practices through cost-effectiveness modelling, administrative databases research and quality improvement studies. Dr McCormick cares for children with a broad array of hematologic and oncologic diagnoses, though she has a specific clinical interest and expertise in vascular malformations and solid tumors.
