Miami CTSI Grant Writing Workshop
Early stage investigators who are currently working on a grant to submit in the NIH February 2025 grant cycle are invited to attend the Miami CTSI Grant Writing Workshop. Through a series of lectures and interactive exercises, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to submit a successful grant application.
Program Sessions
*Indicates required attendance.
- SEPT 10 (in-person)* Covers key elements through the initial phase of the grant writing process, from developing a compelling idea and meaningful study questions to finding the right study section and understanding the peer review process.
- SEPT 17 (in-person)* Specific Aims
- SEPT 24 (virtual) Writing the research strategy, including what reviewers are looking for
- OCT 1 (virtual) Other sections of the application (e.g., Budget, Letters of Support)
- OCT 8 (in-person)* Fitting it all together together to finalize the application – covering key items including an informative title to pre-submission review.
