Eastern-Atlantic Student Research Forum (ESRF)

The 50th Annual ESRF will take place in-person on February 16-17, 2024 on the medical campus.

The Eastern-Atlantic Student Research Forum (ESRF) is an international symposium held at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine (UMMSM) in Miami, Florida. Each year, ESRF selects medical, graduate, M.D./Ph.D. students, and resident physicians from the United States, Canada, Europe, Central and South Americas to present original basic science and clinical research in multiple biomedical fields. In addition to formal presentations, the forum includes the informal exchange of scientific ideas among students and faculty preceptors, the encouragement of student-initiated research, and the professional development of future leaders in biomedical research. Presenters are provided extensive feedback from peer and faculty reviewers; outstanding presentations in multiple categories are recognized with awards.

Please note that the deadline to apply for the upcoming ESRF Conference has been extended for a final time to Friday, January 5^th, 2024.

DPHS students will have their own public health section at the ESRF Conference. Please complete the application by January 5^th for consideration in the ESRF Conference.

Selected students will have their conference registration and poster printing costs (if applicable) covered by the DPHS.

Review Abstract Guidelines on the ESRF website for abstract format instructions and important conference information. MPH, MS, and PhD students should use this application to submit their research project materials rather than submitting them to the ESRF website. Your Faculty Advisor or Research Mentor MUST approve your abstract before you submit this application and fill out an ESRF Endorsement Letter 2024 on your behalf.
