DOCS Fort Lauderdale Health Fair

This is the only DOCS health fair in Broward County, and we would love your help to give back to this community!

The Fort Lauderdale Health Fair fair will be held at the beautiful Fort Lauderdale YMCA, approximately a 30-minute drive from the medical campus. We can’t wait to kick off another amazing year of DOCS health fairs with you on August 31st, 2024.

For those selected, general health fair and station-specific training will take place on Wednesday, August 28th at 5:30pm in Rosenstiel Medical Science Building (RMSB), 5th Floor Auditorium. Additional info will be sent out a day before.

• Who: Everyone!
• When: Saturday, August 31st, 2024; All day shift from 7:30 AM to 4 PM (includes breakfast and lunch)
• Where: L.A. Lee YMCA/Mizell Community Center, 1409 NW 6th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311
• Attire: Scrub pants, DOCS T-shirt.
• Essentials: UM ID, stethoscope, and fully charged laptop (charger also recommended)

Sign-ups will close on Friday, August 23rd at 11:59PM.

If selected, volunteers will be notified of their status by Monday, August 26^th, 2024. Those who do not receive an email by then have not been selected to volunteer at FLHF 2024, due to space constraints. We encourage all to continue to sign up for our additional 8 health fairs over the year!

Signing up does not guarantee a volunteer position at the fair. Should the number of volunteers exceed the number of positions available, DOCS will select volunteers in an unbiased manner. We will do our best to accommodate everyone regarding station/shift preferences, however, first preference is not guaranteed. Thank you for understanding.
