Dr. Nicholas Seyfried

Explore how proteomic and multi-omic approaches deepen understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, characterizing molecular mechanisms, identifying biomarkers across biofluids and brain tissue and translating integrative data into early diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Dr. Nick Seyfried’s research focuses on uncovering the molecular mechanisms that drive Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. He and his team use proteomic and multi-omic approaches to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets, advancing both basic and translational research. Through NIH-funded programs and the Emory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, his work aims to classify the Alzheimer’s brain and reveal early disease pathways to inform precision medicine.
