Boundary Crossing Partnerships Drive Translational Progress: A Video Presentation and Panel Discussion

Firefighter Cancer Initiative
Join us for the video premiere of a new CTSI Translational Science Case Study: Firefighter Cancer Initiative (FCI). This is the first in a series of case study video modules that utilizes the Sylvester FCI to demonstrate how the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Translational Science Principles have been applied to advance an interdisciplinary translational research project to address excess cancer risk and outcome in first responders.
The module focuses on the boundary crossing partnerships that enabled a simulated electric vehicle fire that was staged to study its health and environmental consequences. Immediately following the video premiere, there will be a panel of FCI stakeholders to discuss the project, including members of the fire service and researchers from numerous disciplines across the University of Miami.
🍽️ Lunch will be served.
