Kamal Menghrajani, MD, MS serves as the Assistant Director for Cancer Innovation and Public Health at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Dr. Menghrajani is the first oncologist to be embedded with the Biden Cancer Moonshot team at the White House and was previously a 2023-2024 White House Fellow. Prior to joining OSTP, Dr. Menghrajani was a practicing hematologist / medical oncologist on faculty at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she treated patients with leukemia and conducted computational oncology research in clonal myeloid disorders. She was the recipient of an ASCO YIA and an NIH K12, and earned an MS in Biostatistics at the Mailman School of Public Health. She also has had experience working in global health, medical journalism, and social entrepreneurship.
